By applying the formula of the position in free fall, when the object is in the ground (y = 0), we get that:

y=H-12·g·t2 ⇒0 m=5 m - 0.5·g·(2.47s)2 ⇒g=5 m3.05 s2 ⇒g = 1.63 m/s2
